We are in this together.
Are you one of the 300,000 Black women pushed out of the workforce since January?
Do you know someone who the current job market instability has impacted?
According to The Week:
“Claims of American economic resilience notwithstanding, the plummeting share of Black women, and Black participation overall, in the labor force is a 'troubling sign' in general, said USA Today. "The Black unemployment rate is always the first to go up," said Center on Budget and Policy Priorities Chief Economist Gbenga Ajilore to the outlet. "That's always the canary in the coal mine."

This is happening… so, what do we do now?
I don’t have all the answers.
What I know with confidence is that I have seen my current coaching clients set new objectives and explore new opportunities when they have a chance to work together to expand their networks and perspectives. It won’t solve everything, but pooling our collective wisdom and networking together is a step in the right direction.
I want to offer three concrete steps that you or someone you know can take to begin rebuilding confidence, setting clear objectives, and exploring networking opportunities.
First, please take a moment to read my open letter to women impacted by these job cuts.
Next, please review my Clarity Lab Group Coaching and Collective Wisdom opportunity. Let’s take this opportunity to build community and help each other refine plans for our next steps. We are creating a safe and innovative space to support each other as we develop our futures. Two monthly group sessions, a summary, and an online community for $97 per month. It’s priced for those who are in a period of instability.
Join me on October 9, 2025 for a free webinar entitled “Where do we go from here?” Let’s gather in the spirit of sisterhood in a space where we can acknowledge what is happening and discuss the most critical steps needed to build resilience and concrete strategies.
Behind Every Number is a Story: An Open Letter to the 300,000
In the last nine months, more than 300,000 African American women — women just like you and me — have been driven from the workforce. Behind every number is a story.
Your brilliance didn’t disappear when a job ended. Your resilience didn’t fade when the phone didn’t ring back. And your worth is not measured by a paycheck.
Join the Founding Clarity Lab Cohort at $97 per month
Your worth isn’t defined by a job title, a layoff notice, or the silence after another application. You still carry everything you’ve built, everything you’ve overcome, and everything you’re capable of becoming.
That’s why we created The Clarity Lab—a space where we can create a safe environment designed for women like us. It’s about reclaiming confidence, finding clarity, and building community with sisters who understand exactly what you’re going through.
